Skiing and Snowshoeing

Darrel skiing in Gatineau ParkThe Club’s winter skiing activities are based in Gatineau Park and include trips on established trails as well as more adventurous off-trail outings. The level of difficulty involved in trips varies, with specific trips suited to all skill levels from novice to seasoned expert.

Snowshoeing is a natural continuation of summer hiking as well as being a Canadian tradition. Its great exercise, loads of fun, and the perfect way to spend some outdoor time on a winter’s day. The same Gatineau Park trails that provide great summer hiking also provide great snowshoeing at all experience levels. Intermediate and advanced trips are also run occasionally to more challenging snowshoeing terrain, such as the Adirondacks.
